Where is Sugarhouse Self Storage located? - Sugarhouse Self Storage is located in an easily accessed area of Sugarhouse along Elgin Avenue, between Highland Drive and 1300 East (Richmond). Our address is 1260 East Elgin Ave, Salt Lake City, Utah 84106. With our easy access, we service the communities of Millcreek, Salt Lake, Holladay, and South Salt Lake City.
How do I rent a storage unit? - You can rent a storage unit in-person with our manager or rent online from this website. Once you complete and sign your required paperwork, you will receive a self-selected gate code and will have access to your unit immediately. The process only takes about ten minutes and can be done in the comfort of your home. Your first month rent is prorated for the days left in the month.
How do I pay my monthly rent payments? – The easiest way to pay your storage bill is online using a debit or credit card. You can also speak to our facility manager about auto pay so your bill is paid automatically every month.
When are payments due? - Your payment is due on the first day of each month.
How long do I need to rent?
We provide flexible month-to-month lease options. Store with us short or long-term.
What documents do I need to rent a unit?
A valid form of government-issued ID such as driver’s License, passport, or state ID is required.
When can I access my unit?
Gate hours are 7 days a week from 6:00am to 10:00pm.
What are office hours?
Our on-site office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00am- 6:00pm and on Saturdays by previous appointment. The office is closed on Sunday’s and on major Holidays.
Do you sell storage supplies?
Yes, we sell boxes, tape, mattress covers, locks and many other supplies for your storage needs.
What items am I not allowed to store?
You are not allowed to store stolen or illegal goods, flammable or hazardous items, car batteries, food, or animals. Gas should be removed from engines before storing them.
What security features do you offer?
We work hard to protect you and your belongings at all times. We have on-site resident managers, state of the art access control gates and keypads and our facility is being monitored 24/7 using video cameras. Each tenant is required to put a lock on their unit for security. A disc lock can be purchased from us onsite.
Do I need insurance?
Yes, you will need to have insurance. If you are not covered through your home owners or renters policy, Sugarhouse Self Storage offers insurance through Storesmart Insurance for great rates to make sure your items are covered.
